Chief is one of the Peridots that live on Farid, and is considered one of the oldest Peridots on the colony, only younger than Peridot herself. She is the one in charge of the entire Peridot Colony.
Physical Appearance
Being an Era 2 Peridot like most of her cut, she is considerably smaller than other Peridots, same height as Peridot. Chief also has sharper teeth, an incisor jutting out of her mouth even when her mouth is closed.
Unique to her, her outfit consists of a getup similar to a scarecrow: a buttoned up shirt, worn out boots and overalls, and a tattered vampire's cape. She often wears a mask over her face that resembles a jack-o-lantern, which with her gemstone glowing gives off an ominous and frightening appearance.
Personality
As she is the oldest of the Peridots, and the leader of an entire colony, Chief has a more level head, a leader-like demeanor towards her fellow Peridots, and most other Gems. Despite her age, she still holds some of the cheeky behavior Peridot usually presents, though it's not as common of a sight. She does have a care towards her fellow sisters, claiming she rather not risk going back to Homeworld to keep the others safe from the Diamonds, who sentenced most of them to be harvested in the first place.
History
Chief was the second Peridot, just behind Peridot herself, to be made from her colony division, only to find that most of her cut was going to be harvested for being too "new". As such, she made the decision to take her division and left before giving them the chance, crash-landing on Farid and as such making their home there away from Diamond rule.
Season 8
Chief got word of the Diamond Authority's arrival onto Farid thanks to a report from Newbie. She first officially appears to break up a fight between Peridot and Foreman, and brought peridot, Sapphire, and Lapis Lazuli back with her for a talk and drink. There she told them about the colony, and found out more about her older sister.
She kept her charge of the colony and introduced much of the Crystal Gems and some of the Diamond Authority (excluding White Diamond). When she found that they were going to leave Peridot behind, she allows her older sister to go with them, knowing it would be the right choice despite their short time together.
