Cloudsdale is a strictly-Pegasus settlement located within Equestria, nearby Canterlot and Ponyville.

Much of Cloudsdale is, like the name suggests, made up entirely of clouds. As such, only Pegasus are able to wander around freely and safely in there, as Pegasus are the only Pony race capable of walking on clouds. Much of the designs of the buildings take influence to greek structures.
Rivers of water can be seen pouring out in waterfalls at the edges of the city, the water brought up from the ground below as its water supply, some rivers flowing out rainbows as well. Cloudsdale is responsable for distributing and manufacturing rainbows, clouds, and snowflakes.

During a exploration, Peridot went with Derpy Hooves to Cloudsdale (in particular the Rainbow Factory) to better study just how the process worked.
