Cranky Doodle Donkey is a male donkey and Matilda's husband who first appears in the episode "The Good Luck Package".
History
It is partially revealed that Cranky went on adventures prior to the series to try and find his beloved, Matila Doodle. While out, he met his close friend Steven Magnet, who remarks as being his "best beast".
Season 3
In "The Good Luck Package", Cranky returns to his home in Ponyville from shopping and mentions that everyone in Ponyville was getting dressed and asking him about the wedding, even though the ceremony isn't for another day. When finding out about that the invitations were mislabeled however, Cranky goes to complain about the misprint to the pony who made the invitations, Derpy Hooves.
Afterwards, he goes around town to make sure everything will work out, including going off to fetch the wedding cake for the caremony.
