Derpy Hooves is a Pegasus and local resident of Ponyville as the local mailmare and delivery Pony.
Appearance
Derpy Hooves is a gray-furred Pegasus Pony with a shaggy light yellow Mane and Tail. Her Cutie Mark mainly shows a bunch of bubbles.
Her most notable feature is her crisscrossed eyes, one eye looking up while the other eye's looking down.
History
Season 1
She first appears in "Peridot's New Groove", being the first Pegasus (besides Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy) to meet Peridot. On first finding her examining some clouds, she questions if she's from the future, just to become excited when she reveals herself to be an Alien. She was the one who introduced Peridot to Cloudsdale, specifically showing her the weather factory and where they create Rainbows in the sky.
Season 3
Derpy has her second role in the episode "The Good Luck Package", in which she accidentally messes up Matilda's wedding invitations. At the Ponyville cafe, Derpy has lunch with Doctor Hooves, and expresses how she wishes she could go back in time and fix the mess she made. She then gets the idea to do a Good Luck Package suggested by Doctor Hooves. She then finds the Crystal Gems visiting, and asks for their help, getting Peridot to help her out. She and Peridot go around town and manage to collect three of the four items needed for a good luck package (a old hoe from Mr. Greenhooves, some new decorations, and a borrowed head rest) just to find Lapis Lazuli as the final piece when they got to the wedding.
