Gilda is a Griffon born from Griffonstone. She was once friends with Rainbow Dash before the series began.
Physical Appearance
Gilda is standard size for her species, naturally tallert than most Ponies. She resembles the standard look for a Griffon. Her frontal half is that of a eagle: white feathers with yellow front talons, with three large head feathers that end in purple tips, and lavender eyeshadows. Her back half resembles that of a lion, with lionine paws, brown fur, and a long tail with a dark brown tuff of fur on the end. Her eagle wings are also brown like her fur, along with the fur on her front legs.
Personality
Gilda, growing up in a rough neighborhood, has developed the similarly rough, and rude behavior as to most other griffons in Griffonstone, showing little care to others around her. She had the exception in the form of Rainbow Dash, but she too developed the similar treatment after they split up. She has shwon some bit of sympathy though, when she agreed to help them get Connie Maheswaran and Amethyst out of the abysmal abyss.
History
As explained by Pinkie Pie, Gilda was once good friends with Rainbow Dash, but during a particularly bad party in which she set off all of Rainbow's pranks, she "got nasty", and stopped being friends with Rainbow.
Season 5
When Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, Steven Universe, Connie, and Amethyst came to Griffonstone, she was the first to find them, telling them that they didn't have a king anymore. She showed little concern in their mission to find Acid and Cyanide, and later on found Pinkie catching up with Steven about her prior involvment. She gave them both the basics on Griffonstone: no singing, no parties, and no cake, and telling them afterwards that they can leave at anytime. She did however tell them about her Griffon scones, something she specialized in, as she wanted to make enough money to move out of Griffonstone. She got some help from Steven and Pinkie to make Acorn Scones instead when Acid and Cyanide showed up, Gilda catching them trying to bite her food. When getting word on Connie and Amethyst's situation, she at first didn't bother herself, but after getting convinced, she agreed to help but made it clear that it didn't make her Rainbow's friend. She got to Rainbow's aid to get them out, and she even saved Rainbow in the abysmal abyss.
