The Grand Galloping Gala is an annual royal ball held to celebrate the completion of Canterlot after Equestria was founded. It is attended primarily by high-class ponies, though others can attend as well. To attend this event, held in Canterlot, one must possess a golden ticket.

In Gallop at the Gala, The event was attended by the Mane Six, the Crystal Gems, and became the spot for Blue Diamond's first ever true visit to Equestria, let alone Canterlot.
