Melanite is a Homeworld Gem, and Yellow Diamond's Pearl distributor.
Physical Appearance[]
Melanite is about as tall as Garnet, with much of her appearance similar to Flint in numerous asspects: her skin grey and her full body suit a darker shade of grey. She has yellow diamond symbols on her shoulders, chest, and knees. Her hair is grey and similar to Zircon in design. She also has a single-sided visor over her left eye, both eyes dark green.

Season 2[]
As the group was staying on Homeworld, Melanite found Pearl, and quickly questioned Pearl's motives. After scanning her, she found Pearl didn't had an owner, and started taking her away from the group. She quickly accused them of stealing her, and if they wanted one so badly they'll have to pre-order one. Soon after, she brought Pearl back to her holder with other pearls, before she was confronted by Fulgurite. She didn't see much point in picking her over any other pearl, and threatened to call the guards on her, making Fulgurite attack. In defense, she used a Gem Destabilizer on Fulgurite, and teleported her away back to Blue Diamond City. Sapphire met up with her sometime later, just before she was to call it a day, and actually got an order to get their pearl in particular. She questioned it at first, calling Pearl a troublemaker, but complied anyway and returned Pearl to the Crystal Gems.
Season 6[]
During a routine send off of multiple Pearls, Jade had arrived to question her involvement with Pink Diamond. It's revealed that she was gonna make the biggest shipment in her career, as Pink Diamond wanted all of her pearls at once, but said the other diamonds made her lower her options. She knew little to nothing about the shattering however.
due to this, she and other Gems were captured by White Diamond, and she became apart of their escape.
