Rose Quartz is the previous leader, founder of the Crystal Gems, and the identity Pink Diamond used after she was "shattered". She survived the war, but later gave up her physical form in order to give birth to Steven Universe.
Physical Appearance[]
Rose Quartz is the prime Gem of her cut, standing at eight feet tall. She has light peach skin, and her pink hair is very long and styled in tube ringlets. She is naturally taller and heavier than most of the Crystal Gems due to being a quartz Gem herself. Her outfit consists of a strapless lilac that reaches the floor, accompanied by a snow trimmed dress colored white and pink, layered similar to petals on a rose, and a star-shaped cutout in the navel area showing her gem.
Personality[]
She is often described as being a selfless sort of Gem, putting others over herself on more than one occasion regardless of their Gem type, or previous actions. Her ideas of everyone being free and to be themselves is what she implied to the Crystal Gems as a whole. She doesn't believe any of the ideas Homeworld has brought forward. In the case of Amethyst however, Rose is shown that she would withhold information so they would be happy, even holding the Gem War from Amethyst's knowledge, and her true identity from everyone altogether (excluding Pearl).

Healing Powers[]
A notable ability she possesses is her ability to heal, though most of these are more evident in Steven, possibly stronger in herself. This ability allows her to heal cracked Gems, and even revive organic creatures.
